Satanic purpose of the Malachy last pope prophecy is deception

After I heard the announcement of the pope’s resignation, I figured that people would suddenly become interested in the St. Malachy prophecy and that Tom Horn’s book “Petrus Romanus” would once again become the topic of discussion all over the end time forums.

Apparently that turns out to be the case because the traffic to this website just doubled mainly became of an article that I wrote on this topic. That article was a book review and critique of Tom Horn’s 2012 book. I titled that post, Petrus Romanus: an exercise in finding the future in the demonic.

At the rate of views that post is now receiving, I expect that article to move into the top ten on the top 100 viewed posts on the sidebar shortly. It moved up about thirty positions in the last 24 hours. My post on Horn’s prior book called “Apollyon Rising 2012“ was almost out of the top 100 but that is now also rising slowly.

It is not my intent to recreate what I already wrote in those two articles so I really think that you will need to read them to find out why I am so critical of Horn’s handling of Bible prophecy. I think finding the future in the demonic was a very appropriate part of the title because that is what these researches of pagan writings actually do.

The issue here is the next pope and the St Malachy prophecy, so let me just quote part of what I already said in my Petrus Romanus article on the Petrus Romanus book and the 112th pope.

According to the prophecy, Rome will be destroyed in the time of the 112th pope and then the world will be judged. The 112th pope is identified as Petrus Romanus and that is the reason for the title in this book. We have the 111th pope ruling as I write

, so the next pope is the key figure of the book.

Within this first section the authors makes the case that St. Malachy never wrote the prophecy. The authors suggest on more than one occasion that Nostradamus may have been the real author. Many have come to the conclusion that the first part of the prophecy is so accurate because it was history when it was written in the late 1500?s. There is much agreement on that point in academia.

The authors

believe that the passages about the last 35 or 40 popes were written by a later prophet. These last 35 or so popes are identified with just a few Latin words for each pope. One quickly should be able to discern how subjective such a short indirect description like this really is. The obscure wording and short passage makes it easy for people to believe that a pope fits the prophecy. Obviously in history, some passages fit certain popes better than others.

Even so, apparently a segment of the voting Cardinals believe that this is a valid prophecy, so there is reason to believe that certain candidates have been promoted in the past because the candidate seemed to fit the prophecy. In other words, there is some self-fulfilling prophecy going on here. This is even more likely to be the case for the next and last pope on the list. I think the later part of the book abundantly makes that case.

There are enough Cardinals that believe the Malachy prophecy, that they will have some influence over the selection of the next pope. Logically, if this prophecy comes to pass as written, it means that Satan has been in control of the leadership of the Roman Church from its beginning until its end in the Great tribulation.

It probably should not shock anyone that Horn is now spinning what he said in his book. In his book he made it clear by quoting many other mystics that 2012 was the year for Petrus Romanus to come to power. That did not happen. Horn was clearly wrong. From what I hear on the various end time forums, I get the impression that near misses are okay with many that buy and sell Bible prophecy these days.

Apollyon Rising 2012 means just what the title suggests. According to Revelation, Apollyon is the king of the bottomless pit and he and his demons rise out of the pit in the midst of the last seven years. So does anyone that takes Bible prophecy as written actually believe that we are already in the great tribulation? Yet, those hosting the different prophecy forums never mention the obvious when interviewing Tom Horn. Horn’s past emphatic dating has been wrong and his timings simply do not fit what Bible prophecy says, but few that promote his writings seem to care.

With the pope resigning, Horn will now get even more air time on many end time forums as if he has been correct. I read an article by Jerome Coursi on WND that said that Horn predicted that the pope would resign. Coursi listed two page numbers in the book where he said Horn predicted that. I looked up those two pages in my own copy of the book and they say nothing of the sort.

Either Coursi has the wrong page numbers, or he has a different book edition than the one I have. Since I  got the book as soon as it was published in the spring of 2012 and Coursi says his is dated April 2012, different page numbers in different revisions do not seem likely. Maybe Coursi has a pre-published edition that was revised, who knows? Whatever the case, I do believe that somewhere in the 500+ page book Horn did mention the possibility of the pope resigning. Even so, so what? It does not take a Bible prophecy expert to see that possibility. Pope Benedict wrote that a pope should resign if he could no longer carry out his duties and he indicated that he would resign if he got to that point. And he indicated that long before Horn authored the book. Apparently Pope Benedict is just practicing what he has preached.

Anyone with any common sense can predict that this pope would die or have to resign within a few years. This is a man with a heart condition and a man who had strokes. People with his health conditions seldom live into their 90′s and Pope Benedict is now 85. Therefore, getting the obvious right in a book does not mean that the countless conjectures therein will also be fulfilled.

Horn also implied in his book that the prophecies of the early popes were written in hindsight and that Malachy did not write the future prophecies that have been attributed to him either. He mentioned the possibly that it was written by Nostradamus. However, J. Coursi is saying something else in his WND article, perhaps he misunderstood Horn or Horn is changing his tune about what was actually said in the book.

Anyway, that is enough from me about Horn’s positions and Coursi’s article on WND. The knowledge of the prophecies on the popes did not originate with any modern author and you can read my critiques of Horn’s books in the links above. It also seems to me that some commentaries on WND are specifically designed to sell books and recordings. So you might consider the source before you buy into certain things that are being sold there.

The issue in this post is the prophecy that has been attributed to St. Malachy so let us get back to that prophecy. I have heard some read a lot into that prophecy that it does not say, so here is a translated complete prophecy of the 112th and claimed last pope.

In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Petrus Romanus, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations; after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people. The End.

The official Roman Catholic Church position is that it is not a valid prophecy, but many Cardinals believe that it is, and it could influence their votes and help elect someone seemingly fitting the prophecy. If that is actually the case, the influence of the prophecy can make the prophecy of the pope’s become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I do not buy into Catholic mystics. I have read all kinds of predictions from Catholic mystics that have never come true and I can’t find any that clearly predicted any happening that fit our modern times. Satan is not to know the future, other than what is written and even that he cannot fully understand or he would never have crucified the Son of God that sealed his defeat. Only God can tell the future and He said that the secret things belong to Him. Nobody is going to find the true future by studying mystics or false prophets.

People buying into this type of private revelation are going to be misled. Here is my thesis on the prophecy of the popes for what it is worth: (I certainly could be wrong).

Someone will be elected pope that some somehow will identify as Peter the Roman. We will enter a period of world war. At the very least it will probably involve Islam against the pseudo Christian West, Israel, Buddhists ,and Hindus. Many places will probably be destroyed and Marian apparitions will lead many people to believe that the only hope for world survival is pluralist religious unity. The four horsemen may be riding during these wars, but the world had not actually entered the final seven years for Israel at this point. These horsemen wars are wars caused by people under Satanic influence, they are not acts of God.

Because of the great suffering that these religious wars will bring, people will be more than willing to accept religious unification under the great Harlot. As the wars are brokered, people on earth will be hoping for some universal savior to arrive to bring them into the new age. However, the person they actually will accept will turn out to be the Antichrist and he will turn on the Harlot and destroy her.

Only after Satan is cast out of the heavens and the Son of Perdition arrives out of the pit will the end actually come. That is the time when the wrath of God is poured out on earth through judgments that are carried out by angels. These judgments are found in Revelation and they are named the Trumpet and Bowl judgments.

There could easily be two decades left for all this to play out. So yes, I do think this prophecy of a last pope is significant. I think it will lead people to submit to the religious harlot. In other words, I think the satanic purpose of the last pope prophecy is a deception.

People on earth will go through a satanic counterfeit tribulation where people first war against each other and then make peace under a religious Harlot tyrant that will be headed by the next pope or someone who will replace the next pope under a more universal name. However, the end time judgments of God carried out by angels will still be on the near horizon and this will happen in God’s sovereign timing and not within the Satanic led false tribulation timing.
