Why Me Lord? "Bloggin the End of Days" In honor of Rapture Ready.

There are many Web Sites and many “prophecy scholars” but it seems to me there are few Men of God who stand for the Word of God as “he leads them”. Todd I have never met, from RaptureReady, but I have admired his site, and his dedication.

I suspect, He is a Man of God.

In my Opinion, He is sound, scriptural and “meant to be” a beacon, or a “lamp” on the Internet when so few others I see are.

As a Witness to his integrity, I saw him ask for funds to handle a software issue. He said it humbly, asked for what was needed. And in no way or time did anyone feel “pressured or “gimmicked” into donating. He received and stopped the request. He was forthright, and fair. Genuine and accountable.

Soon afterwards Bible Prophecy Today pulled a stunt of, if you pay for it, I will post, if not, I won’t. Another one of those, If You want me in the Ministry Routines, I have to have so much money to pay for…..(GIVE ME A BREAK)  They got their money, God help them because as long as there are free ministries out and about, If God chooses Not To Use them, I will not be surprised.

They have become less prophetic news and more political without a reason to be there.

I pray for them, I hope they find their way, I hope it’s not just to get “Adwords Advertising” dollars. Only God knows.

I know all those “minsiterial” gimmicks because I have worked in Church Admin, as well as Humanitarian Aid Orgs. I have seen the abuses, as well as the “legal”means, but for me, unethical ways Christians use and abuse money is too much for me to stand.

If God is God then He can provide, If not, Get out of the Way, I’ll Prove He does.

Rapture Ready, I have no idea who or how funds, but I have seen them long enough to trust them with Finances. And while I promote a lot of Calvary Chapels, that doesn’t mean I agree with funding schemes. I dropped several Calvaries over fecundary duplicity. I personally support Greg Laurie ministry, but I abhor the Beg Mail ministies attempt.

Money is the First Temptation for Web Based Minsitries to fail.

The Second Temptaton is something I might be accountable for, might not, if confronted, I will respond:

That is Division.

Web Sites divide people, when they should promote Jesus and Let the Holy Spirit lead them.

90% of what I see on Rapture Ready is what we used to call “fellowship of the Believer” stuff. They don’t try to divide the Body, but have a clear purpose and agenda that is a little confusing, but basically promotion of the Rapture and materials for that. They are solid to that design.

God bless them.

10 % maybe wanders into the New Age Political Christians Movement, but at 10% it would be asbsurd to hold fault for that.

UNLIKE the current Fad of SLAM AUTHORITY, SLAM THE PRESIDENT, SLAM THE ECONOMY, SLAM THE SINNER that I see in many Prophecy sites today. WND  is famous for being Tabloid Journalism.

They say they are warning about ISLAM or Politics, but the Gospel isn’t about warning and running from fear, but rather revelation of the fact I Have an answer to all Issues, Problems and Politics, Hes’ called Jesus and He is Personal and He is Real and He is not a Fundamentalist Christian but He is the Son of God.

I started 5 new Prophecy sites because I saw the Issues Todd Mentioned in His post, but also for reasons he didn’t even graze the surface of. One is that people need an education of Prophecy and a realization that God does NOT “NEED” your Money or You, but you are allowed to participate with Him and be blessed if you do as He commanded you.

Participate with Him. No offense, you aren’t Needed, God Loves You, but He CAN WORK WITHOUT YOU. You are the one that suffers the loss, not Him.

Which gets me to my point:  WHY ME?  WHY AM I HERE?

The Bottom line is this, when I get involved It is usually because things are getting pretty off track and people won’t say God Speaks or Jesus Said, or Call a Blood sucking Money Minstry a blood sucking money minstry.

I come along and point to Jesus. That is My Point.

WHAT DID JESUS SAY?

Of course if you are a believer I should be able to ask you, What Did Jesus Tell You to Do Today, and you can tell me.

That is Why it’s me here. Jesus told me to do this. So I do.

Roughly ten to twelve hours a day, seven days a week.

And no donations, no “pay me’s” no kickbacks of any kind.

(I hope after Giving Away my Novel Genesage I can post a donation link after everyone reads it)

If Jesus says Yes, I will, if Not, I won’t and still post Volume Two “Exodage”

There are a few “free minsitries” I would like to send anonymous money to but so far I have to wait.

If I get to post the link I will “pass on” funds to those “I know” are free and effective.

I suspect Todd does what he does because of God.

I only know the other Authors I see I can identify which do have a personal relationship with Jesus, but also have added so much more, I wonder if they know where they are.

We all go astray at times, and frankly Bible Prophecy in these Last Days of  Web Minstry has become a Mind Field of Distractions and Religion. Most are leaving their First Love Far Far Behind Them

It is “meant to be” this way so some of us, Like me, can do what we do in contradiction to Paid ministry.

All that is here is free and designed to point you to Jesus.

Once you know Him,

He can Lead you.

And yes, If he told me to do something else

I would

After all I am the Jesus Gypsy

(grin).

God Bless your mess that is You.

(smile)

The Prophetic Perspective

Prove All Things knowing that all Prophecy is about Jesus and God revealing His Son…To us..for our…Salvation. We post material that is questionable, objectionable, and in the opinion of the Editor of the Prophetic Perspective, valid to use as God chooses to. Sometimes that is highly suspect as material setting “dates” of the Rapture is, but often these posts, may have pieces that are correct to futher study.

Example of Gody Wisdom (Todd Strandberg on "End Time Gospel)

by Todd Strandberg

Faster and Faster, Bigger and Bigger

Of all of man's technological accomplishments, nothing matches what he has done with computers and the Internet. Web technology has advanced so much since my youth, the days of green-screen computers and 1200-baud modems seem like the Stone Age. The microwave oven has improved over the years, but we didn't go from taking an hour to warm up a cup of coffee to cooking a twenty-pound turkey in thirty seconds.

People used to talk about the miracle of the jet age. In 1903, Orville and Wilbur Wright made their first controlled flight, going about 7 mph. It took about twenty years before many could travel over 200 mph. In 1947, Chuck Yeager broke the sound barrier with a speed of 670 mph. In the 1960s, planes reached twice the speed of sound at 1,200 mph. The speed race came to an end in 1976 with the SR71's ability to travel 2,194 mph. Since then, we have actually gone backwards. The SR71 has been decommissioned without a replacement.

The exponential growth curve in the computer world shows no sign of ending. In 1971, the CPU for a computer had 2,300 transistors. Today, the same CPU has over 2 trillion. When Rapture Ready started in 1987, our monthly bandwidth limit was 25 megabytes. Today, we have a monthly limit of around 40 trillion bytes of data.

The growth in the web domains and users has also had a sharp growth spike. The number of web users is growing so fast, it's likely that the majority of earth's population will be using it in the next few years. The only limitation is people's ability to afford access to the global on-line community. In 1991, there were hardly any websites on the Internet. By 2009, there were over 200 million. As late as 2001, only 360 million people were using the Internet. As of September 2009, more than 1.7 billion people regularly use the Internet.

A Sea of Garbage

The Internet is the modern equivalent of the printing press. Everyone has the ability to be a publisher and share his or her voice with a global audience. Just as junk mail has become the bane of the printed world, junk information has been filling the web.

When the web first started, it was much easier to find resource material on various subjects. Today, one has to wade through a sea of garbage to find useful information. The web is clogged with ads of every form, broken links, and pages that are self-serving to the company or people who produced them. There is such a clutter of useless sites, I turn to trusted bookmarks for many of my inquiries.

One of the key factors that turns the net into a garbage dump is people's self-interest. They’re either trying to sell something or they ramble on about themselves. Millions of websites are part of hit farms. Their only purpose is to coax people into clicking on their links, which are ads made to look like useful information.

Even well-meaning Christians can add to the trash pile. I recently found a blog by a woman suffering from MS. She started the blog to benefit others. Rather than being a testimony about the sustaining power of God in trials, the blog was a random collection of trivial thoughts on things like the weather, shopping, and food. The Bible was only referenced once. This person seemed to think that the world is dying to read about her aches and pains.

I was once at a conference in Dallas, and an author asked me if I would add his website to our link page. Later, I checked it out and was shocked to find this huge site that was solely focused on promoting a book he had written. It was one of the most egregious examples of self-promotion I had ever seen. Just like the blog example, the Gospel message was nowhere to be found.

I think we need a Smokey-the-Bear-type of mascot to ask people not to pollute the web. You don't throw litter out of your car window because you know it will degrade the environment, so why should people throw trash into cyberspace?

The Core Problem with Christian Web Ministry

There are many reasons the Internet is lacking a good Christian witness. I was going to list several of them, but decided to focus on what I think is the key problem at hand. The reason we lack an effective approach is that the Internet has made everything too common and too accessible. There is no value in doing the Lord's work online.

The factor has had a similar impact on the Bible. At one time, the vast majority of people did not own a copy of God’s Word. Until the invention of the printing press, each Bible had to be transcribed by hand. Today, I have dozens of Bibles around the house. You can go to a discount store and find piles of Bibles that were mass-produced in China . For a buck, you can also buy a digital copy of the Bible.

Its amazes me to think that a Bible file only take three seconds to transmit to someone with a cable modem. During the Middle Ages, it would have taken three years to produce the same text for someone wealthy enough to afford one.

The accessibility of the Bible has not improved the average Christian’s understanding of the Holy Word. Christians today have far less understanding of Scripture than people who only know the Bible from what they heard in church.

In the early Church Age, people would invest their whole lives in efforts to send the Gospel to various nations. Today, you can reach over 140 nations in a single month through a web connection. A congregation would rather build a new daycare center than spend a few bucks on a better website for their church.

Any large Christian organization could be the one-stop source for Christian information if it wanted to spend a few million dollars of their budget. Thousands of ministries have an annual income of over $50 million, and the vast majority spends less than $5,000 a year on their Internet budget.

When Yahoo.com first came out in 1994, it had a directory-based format that listed similar domains together. RR was under "Bible prophecy" with several other end-time sites. I saved the list, and one time I checked the links. To my surprise, 90 percent of the sites from around 1997 no longer existed. The owners lost interest and closed up shop.

When the Internet was brand new, everyone was thrilled by the idea that hundreds of people were visiting their boards. Many sites would list all the countries represented by people who registered on their traffic counter. Today, the web is so pervasive, nothing is special about the fact that someone from China, for example, passes through your domain.

The good thing about the lack of value in the web is that it separates the devoted Christians from those who don't really care. Whenever I want to measure the dedication of a certain ministry, one area I always check is how well they maintain their website.

Putting All This Power to Good Use

One key factor that has made Rapture Ready so successful as a prophecy site is that our focus has been to use the web as a vehicle to offer Bible-based information to as many people as possible. We target questions that people might pose when they come to the net looking for answers.

Whenever I get ready to write on a subject, I always first do a search to see if some other site has covered the topic. Most of the time, I don't find anything that comes close to what I plan to write. I do have a unique way of approaching some subjects, but I think the bigger factor at work is that most people only care about content that suits their personal interests. For example, millions of online articles tell you what’s wrong with the world, but only a handful of articles offer advice on how to fix the problem.

I didn't find any relevant matches when I typed in the title of this article, "The End-Time Gospel and the Internet Age." One guy had something close, but he only went to a book he was trying to sell. Because this page is an answer to an inquiry on the subject of the Gospel and the Internet, it will naturally soar to the top of the search list once I upload it.

What makes the Internet such a wonderful tool for reaching the lost with the Gospel message is that fact that you are offering information to the public at almost zero cost.

In the world of books, DVDs, and CDs, you can't find production costs that are lower than a dollar per unit. Once a book's sales have dropped below a certain level, the publisher removes it from its catalog listing. The Left Behind novels written by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins were part of one of the most successful series in the history of Christian media. In the publishing world, however, all good things must eventually come to an end. One day I was at a dollar store, and I saw the tapes for some of the Left Behind books available for sale.

There is no bargain bin for websites. A web page can remain active for an indefinite amount of time. Some articles on RR have been around for nearly two decades. Each month, they are visited by several thousand people.

"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have" (1 Peter 3:15).

Adding Your Witness to the Net

A fundamental duty of every Christian is to share his or her faith with the lost. I firmly believe the Internet is one of the best ways to fulfill this obligation. If the 80 million professing Christians in the U.S. added one page of content to the net, nonbelievers would be repeatedly exposed to their witness.

I would be happy if one-tenth of that amount did something productive. The vast majority of Christians never do anything. We are told to pray for others, but we don't even bother to pray for our own needs. I would estimate that less than two hundred individuals are responsible for producing 90 percent of the prophetic content on the net.

There is little interest in God’s business because most Christians don’t see the reward. Most of them are more worried about making money here on earth than they are about adding to their heavenly bank account.

The wonderful thing about doing something is that once you invest the time to do it, you put yourself ahead of a long line of people who do nothing. With a little effort, you can become the 201st person to share the claim to the 90-percent portion of the end-time pie.

Rapture Ready has long had an open policy on posting the works of other authors. You don't need to create a whole website. You could spend all the time you need writing on single article and then send it to us for posting. Once you have a witness on the web, you can have the satisfaction of knowing that every month, hundreds of people are reading your material and being guided to the truth.

"For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard" (Act 22:15).

The Master Plan

I'm sure you have seen one of those infomercials that offers you a bonus amount on some type of cheap product. After telling you about the wonders of a set of plastic storage containers, the announcer says, "But wait! Act now and we will double your order."

Well, I'm about to double, triple, quadruple, quintuple, sextuple, septuple, octuple...your potential reward. The windfall is so great that I have no idea how high it even reaches.

A few years ago, I wrote an article called "The Master Plan." It details what will happen when billions of people realize they have been left behind and turn to the web for answers. During a short period of time, an article that may have only been read a few hundred times could receive hits that number into the millions.

When the Lord Jesus comes to earth to remove the Church, I strongly believe the Rapture will generate one of the greatest panics in human history. The intense need for information will cause millions of people to turn to the Internet for answers. Because Rapture Ready is so closely related to the subject, a huge number of people will find their way to this domain. Currently, only about 0.00115 percent of global Internet users visit our site. I would not be surprised if 20 percent of the post-Rapture population eventually reads an article from RR. The only limitation will be the ability of servers hosting RR to distribute data to the eager public.

It is never too late to become actively involved in works that are pleasing to God. Even if you're ninety years old, you still have time to make up for lost time. To share in this wonderful opportunity that the Internet offers, you need to act. I started RR twenty-three years ago by asking myself a very basic question, "Until the Lord comes, what should I be doing?"

The following is an actual transcript of the PRECEPTS FOR LIFE Broadcast. For the purpose of filling transcript requests quickly, they have received only light editing. If you have questions concerning the material covered in this broadcast, Kay has published a number of books explaining the Scripture in depth. These books may be ordered by contacting the telephone number or address printed above.
Life is hard and the past can be hard to bear, but would it make a difference if you knew that no matter what you went through that God was there, that God was watching over you and that He had an ultimate purpose in it all? And would it encourage you to know that some day it‟s all going to be over and He‟s going to wipe away every tear and you‟re going to be at home with Him? We‟ll talk about that today as we look at Revelation.

PART ONE
When you make a list of the things that you learn; not only look at them and see what you learned but you can turn them into a matter of prayer. If they‟re a list of instructions then you can pray about what you have just read and tell God you want to be obedient.
If it‟s a list of characteristics that you learn about God the Father or Jesus Christ or a man of God, then you can turn those into worship, into prayer, into praise, into thanksgiving, into
petition. And so that‟s what I was doing this morning as I was getting ready to come and to teach you. And I just want you to know that it is such a privilege to teach you. And I thought you know, I pray for you. We all pray as a team together for you.
And I pray for you almost every day as you listen to godly teaching, not only mine, and I do pray that it is godly and I think it is „cause it‟s the Word of God; but that God would bless you and that you would grow and that you would hunger and thirst for righteousness. And I thought you know, I would like to pray for them. So may I pray for you? And I‟m going to pray for you eyes wide open.
Precious Father, I thank you that those that are listening to this program are precious to You. I thank you, Father, that they are people that have been created by You, for Your pleasure.
And I pray, Father, that You would so speak to them through Your Word, that You would so cleanse them, that You would so Father, nurture them through Your truth, that You would convict them where it‟s necessary, that You would encourage them where it‟s needful. And Father, that as a result of these programs, that they would hunger and thirst for righteousness and that they would desire when they see You face to face to live in such a way so that they hear well done.
Now Father, speak to them, speak through me, speak through Your Word, speak by the power of Your Holy Spirit, for the glory of the name of the One that is sitting at Your right hand, who ever lives to make intercession for us. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our God, Your faithful Witness, the One who has released us from our sins by His blood. In Jesus name, Father, we thank you for your gift of love.
All right now, let‟s get to Revelation, chapter 1, and it‟s verse 8. Now he comes to a conclusion. He says everything that he‟s going to say about Jesus Christ. We‟ve seen three from‟s; “… from Him who is, who was and who is to come.”
Then we saw, “… from the one, from the seven spirits, which are before His throne.” So we saw that grace and peace come to us from God the Father and from God, the Holy Spirit, and then from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, etc. Now he brings that to a conclusion in verse 7 and this is
important.
This is why I‟m dwelling on it. In verse 7 he says, “Behold, He is coming with the clouds and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him and all the tribes will mourn over Him …,” Then he makes this statement, “… even so, amen.” Even though this is going to happen, so be it. Amen, in a sense, means so be it; let it be so, let it be true. And then he makes this statement. “„I am the Alpha and the Omega,‟ says the Lord God, „who is, who was and who is to come, the Almighty.‟”
Now some people say that this is Jesus Christ. But I believe that it‟s God the Father. And I will tell you why I believe that it‟s God the Father and I think that this important for us to see not because we need to quibble about it, not because it means that much technically, but because of what it means to you and to me personally, and it has to do with the introduction to this lesson, with the fact that God is always there, with the encouragement that He is not always there, but someday we‟re going to be with Him.
So let‟s look at a couple scriptures that will support my point of view at least. All right, and I want you to go to Revelation, chapter 4, verse 8. So I‟ve just read, “„… I‟m the Alpha and the Omega,‟ says the Lord, „who is, who was and who is to come, the Almighty.‟” Now some, as I said, say this Jesus, but I think that the conclusion, even so, amen, points us to now its God the Father.
And I think that‟s supported in Revelation, chapter 4, verse 8. Now Revelation, chapter 4, John is caught up into heaven; he sees God on His throne. Jesus is not present. And as he sees God on His throne, he gives us a description of what it is like. We‟re not going to go into it because of time, but I want you to look at verse 8. It says, “… and the four living creatures, each of them having six wings are full of eyes around and within and day and night they do not cease to say, „Holy, holy, holy, the Lord God, the Almighty, who was, who is and who is to come.‟” Now this is what they‟re saying to God the Father, because God the Son is not in chapter 4.
He enters in chapter 5 when He comes up, as we have talked about earlier, to take the scroll out of the hand of God the Father and to break its seals and to bring the judgment
on the face of the earth. So I believe that this is one of the reasons that we can say that this is God the Father. But what else does this tell us so that it can help us and be a blessing to us? Well I want you to go to Revelation, chapter 21.
Now what I would suggest that you do is next to verse 8 of Revelation, chapter 1, that you write Revelation 4:8 and then you write Revelation 21, verses 1 to 8. Now let‟s look at verses 1 to 8. Now I‟m taking you to the end of the book.
And you will find this passage in your study guide, although we‟re only studying Revelation 1, 2, and 3, I‟ve included some major passages from Revelation that you‟re going to look at, so that you‟ll feel free to mark them. So you find this in your booklet or you turn to it in your Bible, Revelation, chapter 21, verse1.
John is saying, “I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away and there was no longer any sea. Now what he‟s telling us is there‟s a brand new heaven and there‟s a brand new earth coming for you and for me.” This is something that John saw. Now remember John was to write the things that he saw. We‟re going to see that again in just a few minutes.
But remember that Revelation is the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him. In other words this is a revelation that God gave to Jesus Christ, who in turn, was going to give it to His bondservants, to you and to me. And the way that He did it was God gave it to Jesus; Jesus, in turn, gave it to an angel; an angel, in turn, gave it to the apostle John and the apostle John, in turn, sat down and wrote these things down and he wrote down what he heard and what he saw.
And there‟s a blessing for you and me as we read and listen to these words and then heed them and live in the light of them. So what God wants you to know is He is the one who is, who was, and who is to come. Now this is the passage that deals with the fact that He is coming.
He is coming. You see we have seen Jesus. We have experienced the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit, we haven‟t seen Him, because He‟s a spirit, but He lives inside of us. And our bodies are His temple if we‟re children of God, if we‟ve believed in Jesus Christ. And we know others have seen Jesus
because John wrote in 1 John, that which we have seen and heard and handled of the Word of life. But who‟s seen the Father?
Well you and I are going to see the One who is, who was and who is to come. And this is when it‟s going to happen. “… a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth have passed away. And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem coming down from heaven, made ready as a bride for her husband.” I can tell you and you can‟t see it, but I‟ve got goose bumps.
I literally have goose bumps on my body. And I have them because some day, some day, Precious One, all of this is going to be over. All of this is going to be over. Everything is going to be made new. Now I know that we live in a beautiful, beautiful earth. And I know that God has made a marvelous creation for us, but it sure has been tainted and scarred by man in his sin. And this is a New Jerusalem that is coming down.
It‟s a holy city. It is prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And it says, “… and I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, „Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men and He shall dwell among them.‟” He‟s the one who is. He‟s the one who was. He exists now. He‟s always been, but He is the one who is to come. And it says, “… and He shall dwell among them and they shall be His people and God, Himself, shall be among them
Now listen to this: “… and He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes and there shall no longer be any death. There shall no longer be any mourning or crying or pain. The first things have passed away.” All these things on this earth now that have caused us such pain and such turmoil are all going to be taken away when He comes.

PART TWO
I‟m so glad you‟re back because there‟s such good news, such words of encouragement for you, my friend. If you are one of those that has soaked your pillow with your tears night after night, because of pain in your own life, because of a broken heart, because of something that someone has done
to you or said to you or because of an alienation or because you‟ve lost a loved one, because you feel so alone, because you feel so helpless, I want you to know there is a day coming because God is coming.
He‟s the One who is. He is now. He understands. He was. He was there when you went through whatever you went through. But He is to come.
And when He comes God, Himself, God, Himself, the One who spoke and brought the world into existence, the One who is the sovereign ruler of all the universe, the One who brought all the kings to their knees before the Son and made them kiss the Son, that One, God Almighty, the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the One who is, who was, is to come.
And when He comes, He‟s going to cup your face in His hands and He personally is going to wipe away every tear from your eye. And He‟s going to tell you listen, it‟s over, it‟s over. That you are not going to experience pain again.
You will never experience pain again. It is gone. I have done away with it. We have a brand new heaven and we have a brand new earth and there‟s not going to be any more pain and there‟s not going to be any more sorrow and you‟ll never weep again over the death of a loved one because there‟s not going to be any more death. Revelation, chapter 21: listen to what it says: “And He who sits on the throne said, „Behold, I am making all things new.‟ And he said, „write, for these words are faithful and true.‟”
Listen, you can take this to the bank, as some people say, you can rely on this. This is pure, absolute, unadulterated truth.
These words are faithful and these words are true. Now watch what he says. “And He said to me, „It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I‟ve always been there and I will always be there. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of water without cost.
He who overcomes …,‟” now listen, we‟re going to be looking at this later on as we look at the letters to the churches, but, “„… he who overcomes shall inherit these things and I will be his God and he will be My son. But, for the cowardly and the unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and liars, their part will be in
the lake of fire that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.‟” This is only good news for you,
Beloved, if you are part of the church of Jesus Christ, if you are bone of His bone, if you are flesh of His flesh, if you are a member of His body, because you have seen your sin and you have turned from your sin and you have embraced Jesus Christ as your Lord, as your God, as your Savior.
This is your promise. So as we go back to Revelation, chapter 1, this is the verse that I believe shows you that this is God the Father. He‟s the One that sits on the throne. Jesus sits at His right hand.
“And when all things are done it is Jesus that delivers everything up to the Father because it‟s ultimately all about the Father.” Now if you want to know about that you can read through 1 Corinthians 15 and you‟ll find it there. But let‟s go back to verse 9 now of Revelation, chapter 1. I, John, your brother, and fellow partaker in the tribulation and kingdom and perseverance, which are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus …,”
Now listen to the way that John describes himself. John wants you to understand something. John wants you to understand that John is not elevated above you, that John is there side to side with every person that is going to read this book and be blessed by it. He says, “I, your brother and I, your fellow partaker ….” In other words, I‟m one of many. I‟m a fellow partaker of three things.
Number one: I‟m a fellow partaker of the kingdom. I‟m going to be part of the same kingdom that you‟re going to be a part of and that‟s the kingdom of God. It‟s not the kingdom of this world. But it‟s the kingdom of God, because the kingdoms of this world are going to be done away with.
And that‟s what you learn when you continue to study on in Revelation.
But you‟re part of the kingdom of God, which according to Daniel, chapter 7 and Daniel, chapter 2, endures forever and ever and ever and ever because after all the kingdoms of this earth are put down, there‟s one kingdom that will remain forever and that is the kingdom of God.
And he says, “I am your brother and I‟m your fellow partaker of the kingdom …,” And he says, “… and the perseverance
which are in Jesus, the perseverance which are in Jesus.”
Now what he‟s saying is he says this, he says listen if you are truly a child of God, you will persevere. If you are really a child of God, no matter what comes your way, you‟re never going to turn around, you‟re never going to deny Him, you‟re never going to turn your back on God.
This is one of the things that lets you know and helps you understand that salvation, true salvation is seen in the perseverance of the saints. In Hebrews, chapter 3 it says in verse 6, “But Christ was faithful as a son over His house, whose house we are if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end.”
And then you come down and he says in verse 14, “For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance, firm until the end.”
That is perseverance. In Hebrews, chapter 10 he talks about perseverance.
And he talks about the fact that you and I are to persevere no matter what and we are to persevere, he says in Hebrews 10, verse 35, “Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance …,” Endurance is the same word here as perseverance. “… so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.” So John is a brother. He is a fellow partaker. And I left out one thing. We are a fellow partaker with John in the kingdom and in the perseverance.
But there‟s one thing that he mentions before that. And that‟s in the tribulation. In other words it is given to you and me while we‟re in this life, to suffer. It is given as a gift, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His namesake. But He tells us that if we suffer with Him, we will reign with Him. Well, in our next program, what we‟re going to do is we‟re going to see Jesus as He stands among the churches.

Do you realize that Jesus is coming? You say I don‟t believe it. I know the church has been talking about it for ages. Yes, they have. It is the purifying hope. But I want you to know that He is coming. And one of the signs that He is coming is the fact that scoffers are going to be saying oh, where‟s the promise of His coming? Everything continues the same as it was from the beginning. And what they don‟t know is that God was in the beginning, the Alpha and the Omega.

PART ONE
Well we‟re still in Revelation, chapter 1 and we‟re on verse 7. We‟re making fast tracks, aren‟t we? But aren‟t these rich insights that you and I are gaining and such practical insights, because these are the words of life. And as we look at verse 7, what we see is behold He is coming. Now this is what we want to add to the list of all the things that we‟re learning about Jesus
Christ.

Think of what you have learned in these seven verses just from observing the text. There‟s no question, no you saying to me, well that‟s your interpretation. No it‟s not my interpretation. We‟ve observed the text. We‟ve discovered what it says and that‟s the interpretation. Really, the more you accurately observe the Word of God, the more interpretation just rises to the surface.

I bring that out in my book, How to Study the Bible Inductively. It‟s a book that you need to have if you don‟t have and we‟ll tell you how to get it on the break. But I want us to go to Revelation, chapter 1, verse 7. “Behold, He is coming with the clouds …,” Now that He is a reference to Jesus Christ.

It says, “Behold, He is coming with the clouds and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him and all the tribes of the earth …,” listen carefully, “… will mourn over Him, even so, amen.” Do you realize that when Jesus Christ comes, Beloved, that there is going to be a great mourning? There is going to be a great wailing. There is going to be a great weeping. Do you know why?

Because all those people, when He comes, didn‟t believe that He was coming. They never bought the truth. Instead they bought a lie. They didn‟t bow the knee. They didn‟t submit to Him and therefore when He comes they are going to be caught in their sin and in their unbelief. And it says, “… even those who pierced Him will see Him.” Now let‟s go back and look at two scriptures that are very important.

Remember I‟ve taught you that scripture interprets scripture. And remember I told you that out of the 404 verses in the book of Revelation, 278 of them, almost three-quarters of them are references or allusions to Old Testament references, primarily Daniel, primarily Isaiah, primarily Ezekiel, and primarily the Psalms. But this is an allusion to a passage that‟s in the book of Zechariah.

Now Zechariah is the second to last book in the Old Testament. So go to Matthew and then back up two books. And let‟s look at Zechariah. Now as you‟re doing this, what you want to do is you want to mark your Bible also or if you don‟t want to mark your Bible, then you want to mark your study guide. And what I would suggest is you use the study guide, you mark it and then after the program you sit down and transfer the markings that you want to into your Bible so that you have that.

I would also suggest
that you get the New Inductive Study Bible.

If you have the NIV it‟s a thought-by-thought translation. It‟s not a word-by-word translation. And that New Inductive Study Bible tells you how to observe every book of the Bible.

It gives you a place to put down the theme of every single chapter, like of Revelation and at the end of each of book of the Bible. And it gives you a way to observe the text. It tells you how to mark the text. It has many other study helps in it that will help you as you study the Word of God yourself. All right, so next to verse 7 of Revelation, chapter 1, write Zechariah, chapter 12, verse 10.

You can just put Z-e-c-h period and abbreviate it, chapter 12, verse 10 and let‟s go to Zechariah. Now Zechariah tells us a lot about the coming of Jesus Christ, the coming of Jesus Christ in the clouds and every eye seeing Him. In Zechariah, chapter 12, verse 10 it says this:

“And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication, so that they will look on Me, whom they have pierced. They will look on Me, whom they have pierced and they will mourn for Him as one mourns for an only son. And they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a first-born.” It‟s sad, isn‟t it?

And you know what makes it so sad? It makes it so sad because the good news about Jesus Christ came to the Jew first and then it went to the Gentile. It went to the Gentile because the Jews primarily and collectively as a nation refused to believe that Jesus Christ was the Messiah. There was plenty of proof. In Jesus‟ first coming He fulfilled 333 prophesies that were in the Old Testament. So the odds of all those coming true, would be 10 to the 12th power.

I mean that‟s just incredible. It‟s mathematically impossible. But see with God nothing is impossible. So Jesus Christ was coming. They expected Him to come as King. They expected Him to rule over the face of this earth. But He came instead, as the Lamb of God to take away the sins of the world. He came to be born of a virgin, so that He would be without sin and so that He might be made sin for you and me.

He came to fulfill everything that the Old Testament talked about when it talked about the sacrifices and it talked about the Day of Atonement and it talked about the Passover Lamb. That‟s His first coming. In His second coming, He is
coming as we saw, as the ruler over the kings of the earth. Well when He comes He‟s going to come in clouds of glory.

In Acts, chapter 1, “When Jesus was taken up off this earth He was taken up in clouds. And the angels told the disciples, „As you see Him going, so you‟re going to see Him come.‟” In other words, He‟s leaving with these clouds; He‟s coming again with clouds. And every eye is going to see Him. They saw Him leave and when He comes back they‟re going to see Him come.

Now the reason that they‟re going to mourn is because they‟re going to realize that they were the ones that said we will not have this Man to rule over us. We do not believe that this is the Messiah. And so they‟re going to mourn over Him whom they pierced.
Now don‟t go around just saying hey, it‟s the Jews that killed Jesus because when you say that, you don‟t understand that really it is God who killed Jesus. It is God who determined that Jesus would be the Lamb of God who would die, who would take away the sins of the world. Yes, the Jews instigated His death, but you don‟t hold that against the Jews, because Jesus died for the sins of the world. Jesus died for your sins. Jesus died for your sins. It was your sins that put Him on the cross.

Do you understand that? You need to understand that, because so much has been done against Israel by the church. In the name of Christ they have put the Jews to death and they have said you Christ killers. And they have forced them to be baptized and, in forcing them to be baptized, they thought that they would be saved. That‟s so ignorant.
And that is ignorance that has come because those people did not know the Word of God, because they listened to men who did not teach the truth, because they listened to people who were prelates in the church and bishops and heads of churches and sometimes Popes that would say, even during the crusade, that would say, you go after the Jews. You release Jerusalem and you give it back to the church.

Jerusalem does not belong to the church. Jerusalem belongs to the Jews. It‟s God‟s eternal, holy city. It‟s where Jesus is going set up His throne, but it belongs to Israel. And you and I need to understand that. And when Jesus Christ comes in the clouds with glory and every eye sees Him and those who pierced Him see Him, what are they going to do?

They‟re going to mourn.
They‟re going to weep bitterly.

Listen again to Zechariah, chapter 12, verse 10. “And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem.” Now I want you to know something. I know that there‟s all the conflict in the Middle East about who Jerusalem belongs to and who Israel belongs to and the Palestinians say it belongs to them and the Jews say that it belongs to them.

It really doesn‟t matter what the Jews say and it really doesn‟t matter what the Palestinians say. It only matters what God says. And if you start from Genesis and you read from Genesis, chapter 12 on and you mark every reference to the land of Canaan, the land of Israel, you‟re going to see it belongs to the Jews, that God has given it to them as an everlasting possession.

You say, but they rejected Jesus, but they crucified Jesus. It doesn‟t matter. The covenants of God do not change. God does not change His mind.

And He made an everlasting covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob promising them a land that would be theirs as an everlasting possession. So he‟s saying here that, “I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the spirit of grace, and of supplication so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced and they will mourn for Me …,” for Him, “… as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly for Him like a bitter weeping over a first-born.”

PART TWO
Remember in Revelation, chapter 1, we‟re looking at verse 7. “Behold He is coming with clouds and every eye will see Him ….” This is something, Beloved, that is going to be visible to the whole earth. It doesn‟t matter where people are living at that time. This is going to be such an event that every eye will see Him. I mean absolutely incredible. And it says, “… even those who pierced Him and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him …,”

And this is what He says, “… even so amen.” Now let‟s go back to Zechariah and just look at one more thing. Why are they going to mourn over Jesus as Messiah? Well they‟re going to mourn over Him because they did not believe. Listen to verse 11 of Zechariah 12. “In that day there will be

a great mourning in Jerusalem like the mourning of Hadad Rimmon.
In the plain of Megiddo. And the land will mourn, every family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; and the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves; and the family of the house of Levi by theirselves, and their wives by themselves; and the families of the Shemites by themselves, and their wives by themselves; and all the families that remain, every family by itself, and their wives by themselves.”

Just imagine house after house, after house of all these different people and the people, because of the research that they have done and because there will be a temple and because there will be sacrifices reinstituted before Jesus Christ comes to earth and you see that in Revelation, chapter 11 and you understand it from Daniel, chapter 9 and other passages.

They‟re going to be, people that know hey I‟m a Levite and I‟m supposed to be worshipping in the house of God and all of a sudden they‟re going to realize we were the ones that said we don‟t want this Man to rule over us.

We were the ones that rejected it. We have been blind all these years. And it goes on to say in chapter 13, verse 1, “In that day a fountain will be open for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for iniquity. And it will come about in that day that I will cut off the names of the idols from the land and they will no longer be remembered and I will remove the prophets and the unclean spirit from the land.”

Well we could on but we don‟t need to, but I just want you to see there‟s a fountain opened that day. There‟s a fountain opened for Israel. There‟s a fountain opened as finally they see that He is the Christ. Now Zechariah goes on to tell us that by the time the day of the Lord is over, only one third of all the Jews that are living at that time will survive, only one third. Two thirds will be killed. They‟ll be taken away in their unbelief. But that one third, that remnant that is left, when they see Him then a fountain will be opened, a fountain for sin and for iniquity.

They will look on Him whom they pierced. They will believe in Him and they will weep bitterly that they didn‟t believe sooner. And they will see that all the suffering that Israel went through ever since they rejected Messiah was useless if they had only believed, if they
had only listened to the message of John the Baptist, who in a sense came in the power and the spirit of Elijah to return the hearts of the children to the fathers and the hearts of the fathers to the children and to return them to the Lord. But they didn‟t listen. What is the lesson for you and for me in this?

The lesson is now is the time of salvation. Now is the day of salvation. Now is the time to believe on the Lord. Don‟t wait. Don‟t delay. He who is coming will come.

And He will not delay. And listen if you refuse to believe in Him, you‟re going to be caught up in this mass of Gentile humanity that act in rebellion against God, that shake their fist against God, that go through all sorts of torment and judgment and yet whose hearts are so hardened that they will not submit to God.

You don‟t want to do that. Don‟t harden your heart. Believe, believe now.
Well I want you to look at one other passage and it‟s a New Testament passage and you want to write it down next to Revelation, chapter 1, verse 7 in your study guide. John 19, verse 37, John 19, verse 37.

So let‟s go to the gospel of John. And as you turn there I want you to understand that the gospel of John was written that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, that He‟s the Messiah, that He is the Son of God, and that believing in Him you might have life in His name. So in John, in chapter 19, in verse 37, as Jesus Christ is being crucified, it says that the soldiers, verse 32, “… that the soldiers therefore came and broke the legs of the first man and the other man who was crucified with Him …,”

Remember there were two thieves that were crucified with Him. “… But coming to Jesus they saw that He was already dead and they did not break His legs.”
Now whys would they break the legs?

They would break the legs because the way that a man survived in crucifixion was he would lift himself up with his legs, „cause he was nailed on that cross with his knees in a flex position, and he would push himself up in order to get a breath, in order to exhale because he went into, crucifixion would throw them into a pectoral paralysis so that they really couldn‟t breath, so that they couldn‟t exhale all this carbon dioxide and eventually they would suffocate. So they would come along when they were ready to have them die and they would just break their legs and they couldn‟t raise them up.
Well they came to Jesus and He was already dead

and so this is what it says. “… But one of the soldiers pierced His side, pierced the side of Jesus with his spear and immediately there came out blood and water.”
Now what‟s significant about the blood and water? What‟s significant is this: that the blood and the water show that Jesus died of a broken heart, that literally His heart ruptured so then the blood from the heart went into the tissue and so when they pierced Him with the side, the blood and the water came out.
And it says, “… and he who has seen has born witness and his witness is true. And he knows that he‟s telling the truth so that you also may believe.” Now who‟s writing the gospel of John? It‟s John that wrote the book of Revelation under the instruction of Jesus Christ who gave His message, this revelation of the things that are shortly going to come to pass to His angels and His angels gave it to John. And so he‟s the one that says this. He says this is true.

He says, “For these things came to pass that the Scripture might be fulfilled.” Here‟s one of those 333 prophecies that were fulfilled, “… not a bone of Him shall be broken, ….” And again another scripture; “… they shall look on Him whom they pierced …” Who was standing at the foot of the cross? There were not only Romans around, but there were Jews, the dogs, the cows of Bashan.

I should say the cows of Bashan, surrounding Him, taunting Him, saying, O, you who say that you came to save others, you can‟t even save yourself. Come down off that cross and save yourself and we‟ll believe. They wouldn‟t have believed because their hearts were hardened. Will you believe? He‟s coming. He‟s coming with clouds and every eye shall see Him.
