Is There One Thing Powerful Enough to

Revolutionize the World?

“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.”
1 Corinthians 13:1-3

Hollywood if full of love stories - anywhere from the Notebook, P.S I Love You, to Twilight, even Disney…you remember Enchanted don’t you? Hollywood has been consistently bombarding us with their idea of love… for too long.

Take a look at music. Think about Barry Mennello and Frank Sinatra, or if you want to get modern, Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis. All throughout time love has been a central theme.

At the same time, we are surrounded by love, it has lost the value it once had. It does not hold the same promise of loyalty and commitment it did before. Especially in our kids, it’s often based on a physical response that seems to follow the “easy come easy go mentality”. Ever tried to keep up with the number of crushes a 14 year old goes through each year? From the time you kids are toddlers, culture is teaching them that love can be bought and easily changes. Its so much more than the moonlit, foot popping kiss most females dream about.

Love did not always seem so easy cheesy. No, love meant something much more in a world much different than ours. You see, at one time in history was an expression of faith, Christian Faith. For years at the beginning of Christianity, love was a not-so-easy task and rightfully so. Jesus Christ, as the leader did the most sacrificial love thing of all. Not only did he love his enemies and pray for them, he did the most uncommon, unheard of act of love; he died for them. That’s a love that Hollywood cannot contain.

After Christ went to heaven, being a Christian in Rome wasn’t at all glamorous. It was brutalizing. From Emperor Nero who burned Christians alive in his gardens for his night time parties, to other who were thrown into coliseums to be tortured for entertainment. The Roman culture had no idea what real love was. Christianity, the practice of love, was not exactly an easy thing. To show true acts of love went against the “pride” of the Roman culture.

It was real though. Pure. Penetrating. Permanent. People recognized that this type of love was so real that even torture did not stop it from spreading. The more Roman leaders attacked it, the more people wanted to experience it. The rest is history as the Church continued to grow and eventually changed culture in Rome and around the world.

Fast forward to today. The greatest love story on earth is being silenced by the loud, obnoxious noises coming from our culture into your home, from your computer, your TV, and your IPOD. Slowly the greatest story becomes a ‘neat, interesting, emotional’ one. By escaping reality through mindless entertainment, too many Christians are choosing momentary comfort and ignoring God’s desire to reach out in love and change people’s lives.

Jesus had one mission, one purpose, and he left one as well; something powerful, commanding, and exciting at the same time- He told us to go and make disciples- He told us to go and change the world. What he was really saying was to go and love, “Show people my love, teach them about my love- let them see my love through you”. When the bible talks about love, it says that its patient, kind, it is not jealous, boastful, proud nor rude, its not irritable, and it doesn’t demand its own way.

Men, this is not just your typical fairy tale romanticized love; this is a bold love, a love willing to get you hands dirty if necessary to change a life and teach others to follow Christ. It’s the greatest challenge you will ever accept. You can’t say you follow God’s heart until you experience the joy in watching a person initially angry at God truly overflowing with joy as they choose to be a follower of Christ. It all started with one act of love. One act that changed the destiny of the world. What change can you bring today, tomorrow, next week, next year though one act of love?

Are you Ready? ~Tony Miano

After a wonderful time of evangelism and fellowship outside the North Hollywood Metro Station, and an uneventful doctor's appointment, I decided to spend some time carrying my cross along Valencia Boulevard, outside City Hall. I wanted to make sure I got some "cross time" in today, since family plans for the evening would keep me from doing so later in the day.

There was quite a bit of mid-morning traffic on Valencia Boulevard, so a lot of people saw the cross. The pedestrian traffic was very light, but I did distribute a few gospel tracts.

My sister, Cheryl, called me. As we chatted, a young man walked past me. The only distinctive characteristic about the young man was the bright red with gold lettering lanyard that hung from his right, front pants pocket. The gold lettering read: "United States Marine Corps." He seemed too young to be a Marine; but, then again, I'm getting older every day. My doctor enjoyed reminding me of that fact this morning.

With a cell phone in one hand and the cross in the other, I couldn't reach into my pocket to retrieve a gospel tract. So, I just said "hello." He gave me an inquisitive look, returned the salutation, and continued on his way. I was enjoying the phone fellowship with my sister, but I was disappointed that I missed the opportunity to give the young man a tract.

Several minutes later, I saw the same young man walking toward me, returning from wherever he had been. The piece of paper resembling a job application in his left hand, which wasn't there when he walked by the first time, indicated to me that he was out looking for a job.

"Did you get your million dollars yet, today?" I asked as I handed him the gospel tract.

He took it from my hand and examined it.

"Are you a Marine, thinking about becoming a Marine, or do you just like Marine stuff?" I said as I pointed to the lanyard still hanging from his pocket.

"I'm not a Marine, yet. But I've signed up. I got one more year of high school."

"Well, thanks for your willingness to serve."

"So, what's this about?" He asked as he pointed up at my cross.

"Well, it's about the million dollar question. Are you ready for eternity? What's going to happen to you when you die?"

"I'm not sure. But I think something's going to happen."

"Do you believe that heaven and hell exist?"

"I believe there is some kind of heaven and some kind of hell."

"Do you believe God exists?"

"I believe there is a god."

"So, what do you think a person has to do to get to the heaven you think exists?"

"Do good and hope for the best. I'm sure there must be some kind of test."

"No way." I thought to myself. "Did he really just say that he has to pass a test to get to heaven?" I did my best not to allow too big a smile to appear on my face. But I must admit, I was chuckling on the inside.

His name was Josh.

"You know what?" I said. "If you want to get to heaven on your own, you do have to pass a test."

The look on his face told me that he was surprised by what I said. I took Josh through the Law. He admitted to being a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart.

"So, Josh, if you were to die today or if someday you were killed in battle, and God judged you according to His Law, would He find you innocent or guilty?"

"I would be guilty."

"If He found you guilty, what should He do with you? Heaven or hell?"

Josh thought for a moment, as so many people do, trying to come up with an answer--any answer--other than the obvious one.

"Well, I kinda believe in second chances. I might just stay in limbo."

"Nope, Josh. Limbo is a place man created, just like purgatory, because the thought of hell is just too unpleasant for them. There's no such thing as limbo."

"Then I guess I would go to hell."

"Does that concern you at all?"

"Not really."

"It doesn't?"

"I don't think so."

"Josh, what if you found yourself in Afghanistan. You and your fellow Marines are in a firefight with the Taliban. You didn't sign up to be part of a peacetime military."

"I know." Josh said with a serious and almost apprehensive tone.

"Josh, would you stand up in front of the enemy during that firefight and say, 'Go ahead! Kill me! I don't care about my life!"

"No." Josh said with a chuckle.

"No. Of course you wouldn't. You would hunker down with the rest of the Marines, return fire, and fight. Why? Because you care about your life."

Josh nodded his head.

"Josh, if you care about your physical life, which is but a vapor--which is here today and gone tomorrow; shouldn't you care even more about your soul that will live forever?"

"I guess I should."

"Do you have any idea what God did so you might not have to spend eternity in hell?"

Josh looked up at my cross. "Jesus died on the cross?"

Josh paused for a moment, trying to think of something else to say. "What else did he do?" He mumbled under his breath.

"Josh, let's say you were arrested for breaking the law and you found yourself standing before the judge."

I pointed across the street to the courthouse. "I was a deputy sheriff for twenty years, so I spent a lot of time in that courthouse."

"You were?"

"Yes."

"Did you know my grandfather?"

"Who was your grandfather?"

"Art Pelino."

"Really? Well, your grandfather was killed before I became a deputy sheriff; but I certainly know about your grandfather."

Josh smiled.

"Josh, how old are you?"

"Sixteen."

"Were you there for the dedication of the Memorial Garden at the sheriff's station?"

"I was."

"So was I."

"Really?"

"I was the chaplain that spoke and said the prayer."

"That was you?"

We were both smiling, now.

I took Josh to court, sharing with him the analogy I so often use before presenting someone with the gospel.

"Josh, that analogy is a picture of what God did. Two thousand years ago, God the Father sent His Son to Earth in the person of Jesus Christ--fully-God and fully-Man, but without sin. Unlike you and me, He never once violated the Law of God in thought, word, or deed. He couldn't. He was God in the flesh--the sinless Lamb of God. He was born of a virgin, just as the prophet said He would be, 750 years before His birth.

"Thirty to thirty-three years into that earthly existence He voluntarily went to the cross. He suffered, shed His innocent blood, and died a horrific death. The Bible says that he was so badly beaten and mutilated that He could barely be recognized as human. He suffered and died, taking upon Himself the punishment you and I rightly deserve for violating God's Law. Three days later He rose from the dead and forever defeated death. Unlike the false gods of every other religion on the planet, Jesus Christ is alive and He will return at a time of the Father's choosing.

"What He commands of you, me, and everyone else is that we repent--that we turn away from and forsake our sin; and that we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior."

"I took a world religion class in school. So, I've studied about a lot of different religions."

"Josh, do you know the difference between what the Bible says and virtually every other religion?"

"The name of the god?"

"No. Here's the difference. The other religions of the world say to believe a certain set of beliefs. Obey a set of rules. And maybe, just maybe, in the end it will work out for you. The Bible teaches that there is absolutely nothing you can do to save yourself. Why? Because you are dead in your trespasses and sins. There is nothing you can do to earn or work your way into a right relationship with God. A person is saved by the grace of God, through faith, and not as a result of any good works.

"And that's why you need a Savior, Josh. Jesus is the only one who can save you from the just punishment for your sins against God. If God saves you-causes you to be born again, then you will want to repent of your sin and put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ. If He does that for you, then He will give you a new heart with new desires. You will want to do that which pleases him--not because it earns you anything, but because you are so grateful for the free gift of eternal life that He has given you."

I stopped talking for a moment. Josh didn't say a word. He just looked at the ground. His eyes seemed to begin to water.

"Josh, do you know what is written on the plaque, next to your grandfather's picture?"

"No."

"It's John 15:13. It says, 'Greater love has no one than this, than he who lays down his life for his friends.' That's what your grandfather did, Josh. And that is what Jesus Christ did for those who repent and receive Him as Lord and Savior."

"Wow. You've certainly given me a lot to think about this day."

"Good."

"Well, I've got to get going."

"Okay. Thanks for talking with me."

We shook hands.

"Josh, God bless you. And thanks, again, for your willingness to serve."

"Thanks."

Josh smiled and walked away. Within moments, he was sprinting down the sidewalk. I thought of many reasons why the young man was running. Only God and Josh know for sure.

As I watched him run away, I thought that I might not ever see him again. He may very well end up in Afghanistan and lay down his life for his country. I thanked God that He had given me the opportunity to share the gospel with Josh.

And then I thought back to that Memorial Garden dedication nine years ago. As a chaplain, department policy and protocol precluded me from even mentioning the name of Jesus Christ while serving in an official capacity, during a department function. What our sophisticated culture would deem tolerance and sensitivity is, in reality, intolerance and hatred for the Lord Jesus Christ and those who truly worship Him.

So, seven years ago, when Josh was just nine years old, he didn't hear the gospel from me. But today, as I stood across the street from the sheriff's station and that Memorial Garden--as I stood there in civilian clothes holding my cross, Josh heard the gospel.

There are no coincidences in God's economy. Contrary to what some of today's heretics would say, God is omniscient. He knew seven years ago (He knew from eternity past) that I would minister to the grandson of a hero, today. And I thank Him for the opportunity.

To God, and God alone, be all the praise and honor and glory. For He alone is worthy.

Consider if I'm real--a real Christian, that is. Would I go?~Michael Pohlman

Doing Missions When Dying is a Distinct Possibility
Like so many of you, I've been moved by what seems like a steady stream of news stories depicting the rise of violence against Christians worldwide. For example, the Washington Post ran a story this morning describing brutal persecution of Christians in Pakistan. Here's an excerpt:

A spasm of religious violence came to this rural town in the shape of an angry Muslim mob Saturday morning. The Muslims marched to avenge what they believed was the desecration of a Koran one week earlier. When it was over, dozens of houses were torched and Faith Bible Pentecostal Church lay in ruins. Two villagers were shot dead, residents said. Five others, including two children, burned alive.

It's stories like these that force me to check my heart and consider if I'm real--a real Christian, that is. Would I go? Would I preach the good news in the face of violent threats and the distinct possibility of death?

More to the point, would I go next door and tell my fellow suburbanite about Jesus?

Will the violence in Pakistan or Nigeria or in any number of places around the world today thwart the American church's efforts to fulfill the Great Commission?

God help us to boldly proclaim the good news wherever you call us to speak--whether overseas or across the street.

'They Want to Destroy Christians'

Spasm of Religious Violence Leaves a Pakistani Minority in Mourning, Frustration

Washington Post Foreign Service
Monday, August 3, 2009

GOJRA, Pakistan, Aug. 2 -- They do not want to bury the Christians. They want the nation to see them.

By nightfall Sunday, hundreds of residents of the Christian enclave here stood in defiant vigil around seven particleboard coffins neatly aligned on the train tracks that run through town. They had demands: Until the government investigates the killings and finds those responsible, they will not remove the bodies.

Police waited warily in the street. A man on a loudspeaker bellowed the villagers' sentiments, which included anger at provincial authorities for not stopping the killings.

"Death to the Punjab government!"

Killing has become commonplace in Pakistan. But this attack startled the country both for its ferocity and for its stark message to religious minorities. Many saw the violence as further evidence of the growing power of the Taliban and allied Islamist militant groups in Punjab province, home to about half of Pakistan's population.

"They have made up their minds to crush Christianity. They always call us dogs of America, agents of America," said Romar Sardar, an English teacher from the area. "There has been no protection by the police. Nothing."

The conflict apparently began with a wedding. On the evening of July 25, a wedding procession for a Christian couple passed through the nearby village of Korian, according to a police report. Revelers danced and threw money in the air, as is local custom. In the morning, a resident told police he had picked up scraps of paper on the ground and found Arabic writing. "We examined them, and it was the pages from the holy Koran," the man said in the report.

Four days later, the accused, a member of the wedding party named Talib Masih, faced a meeting of local elders, who demanded that he be punished. Instead of repenting, the report said, he denied the desecration, and as a result, "the whole Muslim population was enraged." The house burning began that night and then quieted down until Saturday morning.

That day, Riaz Masih, 68, a retired teacher, grew increasingly worried as a crowd gathered, chanting anti-Christian slogans and cursing Americans. He locked his house and rushed with his wife and children to the home of a Muslim friend nearby. The crowd, some wearing black veils and carrying guns, turned down Masih's narrow brick alley near the train tracks and into the Christian Colony, according to several witnesses. Residents and marchers threw rocks at each other, and gunfire broke out. Using what residents described as gasoline and other flammable chemicals, the mob torched Masih's house.

"We have nothing left," he said, standing in the charred remains of his living room, his daughter's empty jewelry box at his feet. "We are trying to face this in the name of Jesus Christ. The Bible says you cannot take revenge."

On Sunday, the scenes of wreckage and dismay played out in house after house. Residents tossed burned blankets and clothing, broken televisions, and charred beds into heaps on the street. Fruit seller Iqbal Masih, 49, stepped over his mangled carts on his patio and tried to assess what was left of his daughter's dowry. The armoire, a refrigerator, the bedding were burned; the $675 for furniture had disappeared.

"I am out of my mind. I can't look," he said. "They have subjected us to severe cruelties. May God show them the right path."

At least four of the dead came from a single house. As the mob approached, a bullet struck Hamid Masih, a builder, in the head as he stood in his doorway, said his son, Min Has. Has heaved his father onto a motorcycle and drove him to a hospital, while the rest of the family members crowded in a back bedroom. The house began burning, and smoked billowed into the rooms. At least three other relatives, including 5- and 8-year-old siblings, died in the flames, according to residents. "There was fire everywhere, and it was impossible for them to get out," Has said.

"I know one thing. They want to destroy Christians," said Atiq Masih, 22, a janitor who was shot in the right knee. "They were attacking everything."

Christians, who make up about 2 percent of the Punjab population, have been targeted in other recent cases. In June, a mob attacked Christian homes in the Kasur district of Punjab for allegedly dishonoring the prophet Mohammed. In Pakistan, which has strict laws against blasphemy, people can be imprisoned for life or put to death for insulting Islam.

Residents in Gojra said that this was the first incident of its kind in the town and that Christians and Muslims have long lived alongside one another without serious problems. They blamed Muslim clerics for inciting anger over the Koran incident in mosque sermons and accused the Taliban and the militant group Sipah-e-Sahaba of involvement in the attack.

"The provincial government is not accepting that a large part of Punjab is suffering from religious intolerance due to the Taliban and religious outfits," said Peter Jacob, executive secretary of the National Commission for Justice and Peace, which issues an annual report on religious minorities in Pakistan. "They have been very negligent. This conflict was brewing for three days, and they were not receptive. They were not taking it seriously."

Pakistan's president and prime minister have called for investigations into the violence. By Sunday, police and paramilitary troops had taken up positions in the town. Provincial authorities said they have already made arrests and registered cases against 800 people. Federal Minister for Minorities Shahbaz Bhatti denied that any Koran had been desecrated.

Police in Gojra said the violence Saturday was beyond their control.

"It happened all of a sudden. The police that were here were too few in number to stop it," said policeman Kashif Sadiq. "It's not fair to assume they let this happen intentionally."

Special correspondents Shaiq Hussain and Aoun Sahi contributed to this report.

Prophecy In The Making~Jennifer Sides

There has been quite a bit of profit made from the sales of doomsday movies over the course of time. Classic thrillers as some would be called. Sitting on the edge of our seats in anticipation of what is going to happen next. They hold our attention from the beginning all the way to the bitter end yet we still can’t get enough. It is as close to reality as we can get without actually moving to a warzone somewhere in the Middle East or trying to escape the horror from inside the World Trade Center as it collapses out of the clear blue sky. This would be a good time to reflect and think of those who have actually gone to battle in places such as those to stand for what is just. Recreate the scenes in your mind of the images surrounding September 11, 2001. Movies of those innocent victims along with headline news have filled our living rooms to a point where we have become more and more desensitized to the real God-given issues. The lessons God really wants us learn in such turmoil which goes a little something like this…”Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand” as declared by John the Baptist in Matthew 3:2.

Now more than ever it is time for a reality check. The very purpose and intent of this article is to serve as a wake-up call. The book of Ezekiel Chapter 3 speaks of a watchman who is to warn the house of Israel of their rebellion. If the watchman does so; then he has done his part; but if he does not; the blood of the person he did not warn is on his hands. I use this as an illustration to plead with you to wake up and respond to the call of the great commission; warning others to repent and turn to the Lord before it is to late. No one will endure the days that lie ahead without a right relationship with the Lord. Even if the predictions of End Times events do not take place during our lifetime that previous statement still holds true; because either way every knee will bow to the Lord on Judgment Day.

I truly believe if you are reading this that the Lord has a huge plan for you and I hope you will not dismiss it. I hope you will be able to decipher what you read here and put it to good use for His Kingdom and glory. I have provided a blog on my website at www.jennifersides.com to hopefully get your undivided attention. Not that I want it per say; it is actually the Lord who wants it. The links as a whole are a puzzle which will develop into catastrophic events that no doomsday movie will ever be able to reveal onscreen. Those events will no doubt grab the attention of everyone on the face of the earth. Although there will be priceless special affects and insurmountable devastation the ratings won’t be of any relevance and the profits will be zilch. By that time it will probably be a cashless society anyway where piggy banks will just be a thing of the past. I am sure by then; the world will have bitten off more than it could chew.

The following information is what I believe in a nutshell. I do not expect anyone to believe the same things I do; if they believe any of it at all. Although; ultimately I do hope this information will penetrate the souls of everyone who reads it so deeply that as prophecy unravels right before their very eyes they will know Who to run and give their heart to. May this article serve as a testimony to the great commission which has been placed before me as I claim the reason for the hope I profess in Christ Jesus as the author and finisher of my faith.

Now for the pieces of the prophetic puzzle which are not in any kind of chronological order other than just what pops into my head next. I am not going to use all of the links included from the “prophetic watch” section of my blog in hopes that you will read for yourself and ponder upon them as time allows. Just remember; Satan is running out of time and is seeking to wreak havoc on us all! His leash is getting longer and longer as the pieces of the puzzle come together more vividly.

With those things said; there are many prophecies being fulfilled even as I write this article. One prophecy headline news has not taken much notice of are the preparations in Israel for construction of the Jewish temple. A Muslim mosque stands in the way of where the actual temple itself will be constructed but that is not stopping the Israeli people from building an altar for it. A recent survey shows that 64% of the Israeli people are in favor of building the temple. Revelation 11:1, 2 speaks of the temple actually being built. Three and a half years after the temple has been under construction the prophecy of Daniel 9:26 and Luke 21:20-24 will take place. Also, an internet article from the israelnationalnews.com dated May 9, 2009 states that Benjamin Netanyahu will try to rebuild the Jewish temple.

Another prophecy worth bringing to your attention can be found in the ancient city of Babylon, Iraq which was ruled by King Nebuchadnezzar from around 605 B.C. to 562 B.C. Babylon, Iraq was a pet project of the late Saddam Hussein who often compared himself to his late great idol King Nebuchadnezzar. Saddam envisioned transforming the Babylonian gardens into what he hoped would be an even greater vision than that of Nebuchadnezzar. His capture eventually spoiled that dream along with many others he had for Babylon. Even so; the Hanging Gardens still made it to the top 2 spot as one of the new “seven wonders of the world” in a recent 2009 issue of Life Magazine.

Just in the past few months of this year; 2009; the U.S. State Department and the World Monuments Fund committed $700,000 to help rebuild and bring tourism to Babylon, Iraq. Surely you are thinking what I thought when I first heard this. Where on earth did they get the money for that? One of the reasons American leaders are being so generous with our tax dollars is because they are trying to make up for the devastation caused in Iraq when U. S. troops went to hunt down Saddam Hussein. Isn’t it good to know the politicians in Washington have a conscience?

Now you may be wondering, what if anything does this have to do with Bible prophecy? Just one example for that question can be found in Revelation 18:9 where we are told, “The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning, standing at the distance for fear of her torment, saying, “Alas, alas, that great city of Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.” My point here is that Babylon will have to be rebuilt for that day to come. You may say, “Well, a city like that can’t be rebuilt in my lifetime.” You might want to take that thought back because actually it can. I have the perfect example that no one in their right mind can argue with. That example can be found in the United Arab Emigrants and it is called, “Dubai.” I am forty years old and in less than half that amount of time Dubai was just a forethought. Now it is a major tourist attraction that could be discussed for hours on end. Look this city up on the internet. It is simply amazing and it was built with oil money. If the city of Dubai can be built in such a short time; how much quicker will the city of Babylon become a prophecy fulfilled? I guarantee you once the project gets under way; progress will be full speed ahead just as the Tower of Babel.

On July 14, 2009, The New York Times online made reference to a scripture of prophecy found in Revelation 16:12. It seems that the Euphrates River in Iraq is drying up and turning to desert while destroying wheat, rice and barley fields along with fishing. It is affecting all of society in Iraq as even sheiks and top diplomats are at a loss on dealing with the devastation. Although Revelation 16:12 mentions the Euphrates River drying up; I do not believe the sixth bowl has been poured out yet. What I do believe is the Euphrates River drying up is an early warning sign from God on what more to expect in the not so distant future.

Now without using any of the links provided in my blog I am going to discuss the antichrist. I have no idea who the antichrist is. I can only guesstimate. Personally; I do not rule anybody out. There are three key factors that I want to bring to your attention. I believe these factors are crucial to everyone on the face of the planet. I also believe this is the order of those crucial facts I am about to discuss. One example can be found in Revelation 13:3, 4 where the beast receives a wound so severe that it seems there is no possible way the beast could have survived. This is a counterfeit to the picture of Jesus when he rose again after three days from being crucified. Thomas had to see His scars before he would believe it was Jesus. Many people who see the beast and his wound will worship him because he lives. Please whatever you do, do not fall for this!

My second point can be found in 2nd Thessalonians 2:3, 4 where it says, “Let no one deceive you by any means; for the Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” Do not worship anyone who sits in the temple and claims he is God! He is the antichrist! He will probably have received his wound by then; which will be how he gains access to such a high honor.

Last but not least, the Bible warns of antichrists and tells you how you know one when you see one. There are several places this information can be found so you will know how to avoid the antichrists wicked schemes. One thing is for sure... I am telling you there is no doubt…. Jesus himself will not appear until we see him coming from the clouds with His angels as described in Revelation 14:14, 16. This illustration can also be found in Matthew 24:29, 31. 1st Corinthians 15:52 says that we will all be changed at the last trumpet. There are seven trumpets and they are all referred to throughout the book of Revelation. For example if you see the seventh trumpet mentioned once; do not think that is the only time you will see it mentioned.

Another sign of the times can be taken from Daniel 12:4 where we read, “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” The most recent proof I have of that prophecy is from an article dated July 9, 2009 where we are informed that British researchers have taken stem cells from an embryo and created human sperm. They have heads, they have tails, and they move. They have all the essential qualities for creating life. The aim, we are told, is to revolutionize the treatment of infertility. Now men are no longer needed to create babies but will they have a soul?

A cashless society has slowly been creeping onto the scene of our every day lives for several years now. We can see it in a variety of ways whether through credit cards or toll roads. Banks giving credit to people with bad credit has caused a snowball effect all across the economic boards on Wall Street. Government bailouts have been paid out to a point of no return. Companies and movie stars alike are going bankrupt. They are spending money like a child eats candy. California’s gone bankrupt. Unemployment rates are rising with no end in sight. America’s in debt. Iceland has gone bankrupt. China and Russia are requesting a one world currency. Amerocurrency.com is pushing for Mexico, Canada and the United States to join their currencies. Where does it all end and what does it all mean? The truth; it will not end until it is finished. It will not be finished until Satan is conquered once and for all. What it means and what it is all boiling down to can be found in Revelation 13:15-18 where it says, “He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.”

Another major sign that the end times are rapidly approaching can be found in the morals of people as a whole. Things that go against the will of God are being accepted to the point that laws are being passed in the favor of such immoral acts of rebellion. Pornographic images are being placed on billboard signs. States have begun passing homosexual marriage laws even though 1st Corinthians 6:9 says, “The homosexual will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.” Abortion has been legalized. Precious lives that can’t speak for themselves are being murdered day in and day out!

This just about sums up a few of the thoughts I have about end time prophecies at the moment. I may update this article at a later date to reflect newer links posted in the future. In the meantime, watch therefore and be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect; Matthew 24:44.

Seek Him while He may be found,
Jennifer
