Bible Prophecy Today, BPT on Twitter has suspended indefinitely it's comments potion of its site.

Using the IntenseDebate Widget, they are exploring other options as far as comments to Articles posted as Blogs are concerned.

I highly enjoyed and will visit the site often as it is a valued resource though the interaction is now gone.

It's clean appeal and growing number of participants reminded me of many years of Forums, a forerunner of Blogging.

Interaction on Blogs is difficult at best and controversy surrounds End Times and Latter Day Prophecy Sites at best, but this is one of the few that in an area where the outrageous is often promoted for profit, I saw this site as fair and balanced to the mixture of Pre-Tribulation Scholars available and pundits.

In the near future, I hope to develop a Specific Site for Interaction and Comment on Topics and Events as they relate to Eschatology and the study of Last Days.

Being gone from the Cyber scene for a few days, almost a week, I was glad to be away though I miss those who will not be there to commnet on BPT. Keep them in your prayers and support them with a visit regularly.

My wifes Book........

I am excited about my wifes first book. Cheezy of me I know but I really mean it.

We didn't meet the usual way, We met by email.

People will say God can or can't do what He chooses to do and many can argue about the pro's and con's of dating and marriage, but this isn't that kind of book.

This is a true story.

This a romance novel of the highest order. It is how two people fell in love and went on to fulfill their destiny.

Tenderness radiates through the novel because Lori Stone, my wife, saved all our emails, and I as a writer, am also a poet.

This is a love story, it is my story, and it is hers.

The Other New Site dedicated to Prophecy

When I started Commenting on a Prophecy Blog here:

Bible Prophecy Today, I began to realize another generation had come that had a wide variety of exposure to various sources of Biblical Material and scholars but seemed to miss one important ingredient in the Prophetic picture: Jesus.

I found often I was describing my personal relationship with God, while others talked about many important and relevant issues to what is called eschatology, but not about Jesus.

I wanted to know more, and to hear more, even be surprised by the personal and real Son of God as He related to each person who studied revelation or Latter Days.

Instead I got signs and wonders and not the substance. Everything was point to how things were shaping up or looking like, but few were about Jesus.

The Spirit of Prophecy is about revealing Jesus. He is the Word of God, but he is also the one we will meet face to face. I want to tell about His Story in his Words and How He reveals to me and you Who he is and What he wants us to know.

I realized quickly I needed a Blog dedicated to revealing Jesus IN prophecy.......... and thru Prophecy how he reveals himself in us. I thought there were instant experts in the End of the World born everyday if they simply use the Internet, but of those I read, I saw few talk about the most intimate, personal, and real being I know. God. For the Time is at Hand my start slow, but in it I see an opportunity to let people know, there is one thing we look forward to and that is not Eternal Life or Salvation.

What we look forward to is Jesus. If we are not, we have no business calling ourselves Christian.

This Prophecy site is all about..............Jesus Coming ........Again.

My Wife.......

A new writing project has come up and it shows a lot about the strength of character my wife is.

We are compiling and not really editing at all the Emails she and I sent to each other before we actually met.

I am excited by it because as a poet I did write her "pieces" that I would probably never have published and re-reading them I am inspired to be that man I see who wrote them.

Our journey together is quite inspiring from an outsiders point of view and had we ourselves not been inspired, we might never have met, married and no proffer the "emails" that led her to me.

Written or should I say compiled? This collection has added insights that are tragic as well as wonderful in a way that all romance should be and life ought to be. I think now upon it all and I am glad for the pain, the sunshine and rain, the times we stepped on each others hearts, but in the end that fact we learned how to dance.....together.

The Time is at Hand..., the first part.

"Blessed are you that Read,
Blessed are you who Hear the
words of this prophecy......,

And Keep those things that are
written therein....,
For the Time is at Hand.

I'll be the first to admit that I probably was as much influenced by those around me almost as much as I was convinced by studying the Bible about my perspective initally about Revelation and the prophecy we call the Unveiling of Jesus as Messiah or Revelation of Jesus Christ.

I was highly influenced by tapes and books before ever really reading it. Chuck Missler's Early Tapes and studies at Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa I attended, Pastor Chuck Smith on Sunday Nights and with all of us in Southern California singing and looking up telling everyone Jesus is Coming!

Our impact was awesome of the generation I am a part of, the Jesus Movement. As many went on to mega ministries and some ministries went on to focus on other things, I never quit singing this song I still sing:

"When will thou save the people?
O God of Mercy when?
The people lord the people...
Not thrones and crowns but men....."

In 1974 when I initially got saved at a Jesus Concert with Greg Laurie in Riverside, my circumstances were lean, so I would tell God I needed the least amount of cost for the best return on my faith and if I can't afford to be a Chrisitan like eveyone else with all the tools, He was going to have to teach me, so I don't wast time.

I was a passionate little freak and though the word Jesus Freak is out of style, I am still a Passionate person with God. The world bored me and I wanted to be Enoch and go home to see Jesus NOW. Which was back in 1974.

"Flowers of thy Heart
O God are they.
Let them not pass like weeds away...
Their heritage, a sunless day....."

God Save the People

Growing up with all the Big Hitters of the Jesus Movement around and having access to so much wisdom it was intimidating to me as I well respected and thought of all these Men of God as Sages and could not be wrong. Oh they were Men and oft argued liker Walter Martin with Chuck Smith or J Vernon McGee being laughed at for colloquialisms, even TBNs PTL's you name it I got a chance to see the early stages of thes latter day ministries grow up. God was saving his people not even the Ocean at Pirates Cove was big enough top baptize all who were coming...,

We all knew Jesus was coming...., We all said Jesus was coming..., only some of us lived like He was coming.

But still.. we knew Jesus was coming...SOON!!

(The first parts of this prophecy series is called The Time is at Hand. It is an intro into the series called the Seven Letters that tell in no uncertain terms, who stays, who goes and one way you can know you are spared the great Tribulation. The Time is at Hand is also a survey of the actual dating methodologies common to the Charismatic Christian of the Jesus Movement and many Prophecy scholars who know and teach...,

The time is at hand
We are the Last Generation.

The Kingdom of God Suffers Violence..Kill or be killed?

One of the greatest things Jesus did in confronting experts in Jewish Law was to separate God's Will from The Legal System. Jesus took authority and claimed ability to state the Way of God as opposed to a Way to God.

The difference being, if you needed to get TO GOD, you needed to be righteous and holy........ so the Jewish religious leaders, Scribes, Pharisee's Sadducee, Herodians, Sages, Tzaddiccum, many wise men and counselors of Jewish Religious Practice, all determined HOW you could Get to God and have your request heard or answered.

Almost all, involved a priest and or a Law that required you to do and to act in a prescribed manner in order to approach God. Since God had created you, there was law all of your life that you being a created being, must do, to be, or to get, closer to God.

Jesus said those were good for the Outside of Man, but did nothing about the inside. He said The Way of God was to have God fulfill the promise that God would be IN MAN, Immanuel.

He said, If God is Spirit, which all agreed, Man must become Spirit to worship God in order to do so in actuality and in truth. Man must be Born Again.

This wasn't a foreign idea, Jewish religious philosophy had dealt with subject like this before and reached a "idea" like Jesus was saying.

But what was so profound was Jesus was not saying things philosophically, like a Philo or a Greco Hellenistic influence thinking that plagued the Pharasee's, but this was being spoken as literal.

Jesus wasn't kidding........... and all in direct contact were taken back by the directness and the bluntness of his statement.

He didn't claim a Point of View, He said, This IS The Way.

Arguably..... scholars can debate points of social behaviour and consequence and the greatest minds on the planet were available on the planet for followers and those who knew Jesus to discuss as the Greek World, the Roman World, the Hellinized Jews, the Philo Jews, the Pharasees, Saduccees, Sages and Masters all struggled to interpret what Jesus Said when he stated:

Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.

Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.

The confusion was thinking Murder and Killing were seperate and so when people wanted to interpret Jesus they would leave the next few words out:

Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:

But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also. And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

But I say unto you,

Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

That all sounds good for Jesus, He had a purpose to fulfill, he died so we don't have to. He gave his life so we can have a perfect set of checks and balances and make a Christian Nation where we can get away with murder.....

Ok. Love your Enemy. Leave it there. If you can define Love as killing, I can adjust that to include my wife, my child, my dis-agreeable situation, even my interpretation of my brand of Christian Religion.

But, you can't argue with what Jesus Said, "Love Your Enemy"

That means, we open ourselves up to the 90% probability that some one is going to kill us. Some us is going to spitefully use us. Some evil is going to come upon us, some how some way, we have to supposedly Trust God to take care of us......., or worse, learn to get along.

Abraham is called the Father of OUR FAITH. He was told, kill Isaac. If you are a Jewish Scholar you know some Rabbi's say Abraham had no expectancy of killing him, and if you are a fan of some contemporary Christians Authors you know that Abraham was as confident that if He did kill him he would be resurrected....

The Point is, God told Him, He did it, God Spared Him. How big is your God? How real?

Jesus Said, Resist not evil,

and before there was a Holocaust, something far worse occurred. The Followers of Jesus obeyed and for at least two to three centuries, martyrs followed Jesus and died rather than resist and be exercising their LEGAL RIGHTS.

You can call it impractical, you can call it extreme, you can it foolhardy, in those days back then because it was so easy to kill them they called it "little christs" as a label to shame them, which we take as glorious if we name ourselves the same as he.....

Christ Like....

Will you kill in the Name of God?
Will You Kill in the Name of Justice?
Will you be killed in the Name of "Christian"

A murderer is a murderer, a killer is a killer and a Christian is a Christian.

The Kingdom of God Suffers Violence...One of Many.

The Kingdom of God Suffers Violence...,

I live in a violent world, it is obvious by the daily news stories like a gunman opening fire today Wednesday, June 10th in the Holocaust museum, or the Tillerman tragedy where a gunman killed a Doctor standing on the steps of his church as he was gunned down in front of his family and friends.

It is a violent world I live in.

"And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth." Genesis 6:13.

It is interesting to read the whole chapter and to understand context and continuity or else fall into the category of 'Instant Theology' with little validation.

God tells the story of the flood as most know Noah to be about, but two things are mentioned in the simple read of King James English here in the Chapter and that is corruption and violence.

What better two words to describe where I Live than corruption and violence?

In most cities in America, you don't read about ALL the violent acts done that are caught by local police officers, anymore than we can list all the corruption that goes on in politics, religion, or science, or even, by us.

We live in a violent and corrupt society, and if we are truthful about it:

We are violent and corrupt.

Whether Mixed Martial Arts or the latest technical foul for flagrant violence, we have begun to accept that the Norm for us, the median applicable ethos we have... is violence and ethos. And anytime we seriously take a look at it, the person is considered pacifistic, or a less than the Manly Man we see portrayed as the hero in the movies.

Jesus died.
I can think of no better Terminator than the one who took our violent nature upon himself.

It is written that by his stripes we are healed....,

But what of the society we live in and the world we inhabit, are we to be made sheep to be slaughtered and all day we are crucified for the gospel sake?

"The Kingdom of Heaven suffereth Violence and the Violent take it by force"

I hear often in words by Fundamentally sound Christians who advocate a "need" to protect ourselves and our loved ones from harms way, by using even violent means to prevent the torture, mutilation or death of someone we care about.

The Kingdom of Heaven puts up with violent behavior and the violent person takes the Kingdom of Heaven, by force, and seeks to destroy it. Either from within or without. It is without debate that Jesus did not exercise his Power or take anything or anyone by forcing them to it, but in fact laid down his life that the world might be saved.

He chose to die, that in living again, we could find that it is not death we fear, but living in such a way God might condemn us. God honored his death by resurrecting him from the dead and proving that the Way Jesus lived, and the way Jesus died IS the way that was well pleasing to the Father.

Back in Genesis 6 we read that in verse 12 God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

One popular phrase says "It's my way of the highway" but our WAY must be a higher way, a greater calling, a more obvious distinction.

His Way, was to die for a cause that was not only just, but exemplified that absolute power does not have to exercise it's ability to be absolute. Just because you can be violent doesn't mean you have to be. If Jesus, who could at any time have called for a legion of angels to come, did not exercise HIS RIGHT to be saved, then who am I?

Who am I?

Am I the one to exercise my rights and privileges to own a gun so if I disagree with a Doctor and think the end justifies the means I can go and kill a man? Am I the the violent one who says the reason I can abuse my wife and kids is because I was influenced by popular thought, television, or a parent who abused me? Or am I the one that can interpret the word to justify my cause by making the Kingdom Of Heaven a place where they that live by the sword kill or be killed?

I am a man. I can be provoked, it is certain I can be corrupted and it is a violent world I live in. But my choices are determined by my personal relationship with God Almighty who I gave my rights and privileges to the day I call upon to Save Me and named Him my Lord.

If it so be He would choose I die, in order to live as a Witness and a Martyr to the Way, the Faith, the witness that Jesus did, then like those of the First and Second Century Christians, I am in good company.

Violence begets violence as long as we tolerate, condone, promote, sell tickets to and participate in violent behaviour; even glorying in it and glorifying it......, we will be as sheep led to the slaughter as the "violent take it by force".

But our end is not the rest of the story....,

We will rise again.

till then God said,

"I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth;...., and Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

You are not allowed violence, but God is, and He does a lot better job of it, ask Noah.

The Things that I have seen...,

I owe the majority of my Christian Education to Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa and Working behind the scenes at the Tape Lending Library in the early days. Though done a little oddly, I had the chance to go to studies seven days a week there as for a few years I barely survived the onslaught of Crohn's Disease, which with the help of V. A. Doctors who really didn't understand it, nearly killed me in trying to cure it.

It was a tragic time, but it also was a magnificent opportunity, for when not half dead for months in Long Beach Veterans Hospital, I was volunteering and going literally seven days a week to Church. And some days more than one study, like Sundays am and Sunday Nights.

Calvary Chapel in those days introduced me to all the Biggies.... and being available to study by Firefighters for Christ Tapes as well as the Tape Lending Library, People like:

Chuck Smith Romaine T Thornton Greg Laurie Mike MacIntosh Raul Reis
Chuck Meteer Walter Martin Chuck Missler Don McClure Don Stewart

(As I recall all the names, I will edit and put them in here, but believe me, the two years I had free to study, I went to ALOT of studies....)

I was fortunate to live in Fountain Valley with three Christian roomates who helped me mature in ways they would be surprised to find out how. They were normal. I was not. That helped me see what normal was.

UP UNTIL I got saved I used to think of myself as quite normal and not like your everyday Jesus Freak who in those days had to have come from Sex, Drugs, Rock and Roll, or some other Major Sin, and be "Set Free" from those to go on to a life godliness and accomplishment.

In early Bible Studies I led in homes I used to say that I didn't sin TILL I got saved..., since that time of course God has always been working on, in, and through me to accomplish His Purposes.

In a series of Blogs I will post here,
  1. The Things that I have seen,
  2. The Things that i have heard,
  3. The Things that i have done,

I hope to highlight the not normal experiences I have had that will encourage others to not be a Pew Sitter or content to be a nice normal boring christian, but in reading discover that not only am I not normal, neither are you.

God wants to do so much more in, of and through you than you ever imagined and he wants you to not only Know God, but to hear his voice...,

I know at the beginning of this, with a "teaser" like that, you have no idea what I mean... but all I write here will be the facts of truth because I was the one who did in fact experience it.

Other posts I have , and other books, writings, teachings, even videos and tapes, you may get a glimpse of who I am, in part, but here I hope to share with you who I am with Jesus.

Thank you for reading,
May you be blessed.
